Meet Jada Wyatt
OWNER AND HEAD TRAINER
A life-long animal lover, Jada was especially drawn to dogs, and she began working at a doggy daycare right out of high school. There she learned about pack management, dog body language, and the proper way to correct each dog. Jada went on to film school, but continued to return to the doggy daycare during the holidays. She soon realized that her passion for dogs had overshadowed her passion for film.
Jada left film school and began working with dogs full time in order to build up her expertise on their communication and behavior. In her first three years as a dog handler, Jada regularly encountered dogs with behavioral problems and was eager to figure out how she could help them. She began by reading more books on behavior and training, and later interned for Lisa Ann Carlson of Pawsitive Professor — who Jada considers the puppy training queen. Jada worked with and learned from Lisa for 2 years and finally decided it was time to get certified as a dog trainer.
Jada attended Animal Behavioral College (ABC) to get her training certificate and was fortunate enough to have Beverly Kingsberry of Pawsitive Thinking as one of her mentors. While working with Beverly, Jada’s eyes were opened to a whole new form of training that can work for any dog. Jada found Beverly’s S.C.A.L.E (Socialization, Communication, Affection, Leadership, Exercise) to be very effective and continues to use many of her methods to this day.
After Jada graduated from ABC as a certified dog trainer, she continued to work at doggy daycares and veterinary hospitals as she set up her own dog training business. Jada has worked with many different breeds and behavioral issues and finds no greater satisfaction than helping owners learn to live peacefully with their dogs.
